Hi, I'm Marie!

I’m female (she/her), based in Devon in the UK, and I’m 58 years young. 😉

I am a qualified teacher, a freelance copywriter, and a part-time hobbyist comedy writer.

I have one wonderful daughter (turning 30 this year!). Her name is Maz and she is a musician, singer/songwriter, and circus/dance performer.

Maz keeps me going when things get tough. As do the rest of my wonderful family and friends. I wouldn’t be here if it were not for them. And CBT. Which would be a shame, since that would mean you wouldn’t be reading this, and you wouldn’t be about to discover how to improve your own mental wellbeing through the resources on this website.

My favourite colour is purple.

My favourite food is chocolate.

My favourite genre of music is indie pop.

Here is my story…

What I Believe

  • Mental health tools should be accessible to everyone. Not just people who can afford therapy. Not just people in certain countries. Everyone.

  • Privacy matters — especially with your innermost thoughts. MindPath stores everything locally in your browser. Nothing is sent to a server. Your thought records, journal entries, and worksheets belong to you and only you.

  • Self-help isn't a replacement for professional care — but it's a powerful complement. If you're struggling significantly, please reach out to a GP or therapist. But for the millions of people dealing with everyday anxiety, low mood, and unhelpful thinking patterns, having good tools available can make a real difference.

  • CBT is a skill, not a mystery. The techniques therapists use aren't magic — they're learnable, practicable skills. With the right guidance, anyone can start using them.
